adidas LIGHTSTRIKE

The visual language of a super-light midsole.

LIGHTSTRIKE is a super-light midsole built for the perfect balance of lightweight cushioning and on-court responsiveness, tuned for explosive movements, lateral quickness, and the demands of the game.

The design was born out of the adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm while setting the brand’s creative direction for 2019. The work centered on designing the visual language and iconic look of the Lightstrike foam, which went on to appear across adidas franchises and signature shoes, from the James Harden and Damian Lillard lines to the adizero Pro running shoe.
