Adobe Fast Runner

A collaboration with Adobe Substance.

Adobe commissioned a full shoe design in 3D to showcase the capabilities of their new tools, including Adobe Substance Painter. The project demonstrates how visual artists can merge visual art and industrial design, with the shoe built entirely through sculpting and modeling, highlighting the power and versatility of Adobe’s software.

The full process and step-by-step workflow was documented in Substance Magazine.

Process

The basic silhouette and geometry of the shoe were sculpted as a base model, with every further detail and texture created inside Adobe Substance. Modeling and texturing blur into a single flow, and that overlap is what gives the shoe its unique look.
